Standard

| In EcoFluxx, students must match Goal Cards and Keeper Cards. Goals illustrate a ecological concepts, such as predator/prey relationships, animal defense, diversity, etc.
|
Organisms both cooperate and compete in ecosystems. The interrelationships and interdependencies of these organisms may generate ecosystems that are stable for hundreds or thousands of years.

Interdependence of Organisms: Life Science Content Standard, Grades 5-8, 9-12.
|
| The game play is such that players often play cards which brings them closer to a win – while also bringing others unknowingly closer to a win. This cooperation and competition is integral to game play.

Interdependence of Organisms: Life Science Content Standard, Grades 5-8, 9-12.
|
| There is only one of each type of animal - it is a naturally imposed limit on resources. Students must manage the availability of these resources to be successful in the game.
|
The distribution and abundance of organisms and populations in ecosystems are limited by the availability of matter and energy and the ability of the ecosystem to recycle materials.

State Standards

I need your help. What other standards does EcoFluxx meet? What are your state standards? Are there links that we can add to this page to make it more useful to teachers? What other information is needed? Please help me build the pages like this for all our games by sending your ideas to edu-support (-at) looneylabs.com. Thank you!
